AMERICAN STORY PROJECT

This film series, which I produced and directed, brings one American family’s ancestry to life with an immersive, cinematic journey through history. Spanning multiple generations, the films trace lives shaped by migration, labor, landscape, and survival, bringing the past into vivid, human focus.

Blending documentary storytelling with historical re-creation, the series moves fluidly across time through evocative scenes, intimate interviews, and archival material. Filmed on location and grounded in period detail, the films capture both the intimacy of family life and the scale of the land these generations inhabited.

From the early 19th century through the early 20th, the series reveals how individual lives intersect with broader American narratives — expansion, hardship, resilience, and change — offering a portrait of ancestry not as static history, but as lived experience carried forward through time.

From the early 19th century through the mid 20th, the series situates one family’s story within broader American narratives — expansion, hardship, resilience, and change — illuminating how the arc of history is formed through the lives of ordinary citizens.
