GAP – Sound of color
I had the honor of producing Sound of Color for Rehab, Gap’s Spring 2008 campaign. The digital music and film campaign, centered on color, was the brainchild of Rehab founder and creative genius Nathan Brown. It paired musicians and directors to create original songs and short films, each inspired by a different color.
The series featured original music by The Raveonettes (Black/White), Swizz Beatz (Green), The Blakes (Blue), Dntel (Red), and Marié Digby (Yellow), with films directed respectively by Chris Do (Blind); Tom Gatsoulis (Boxer Films); Russ Lamoureux (Biscuit Filmworks); Mary Fagot and James Frost (Blip Boutique); and Ryan Ebner, featuring the street art of Ellis G. The campaign launched online on February 15, 2008, offering free streaming and downloads at soundofcolor.com. The site was live for one month, after which artists retained full rights to their work.
